Klezmer Keilidh - 15 February 2025

We invite you to dance with Hop Skotshne, a truly excellent professional band. Our caller is Vivi Lachs, historian of the Jewish East End, Yiddish pop singer and Klezmer dance leader. She often leads the dance for Hop Skotshne.

Timetable

2.30 pm: Doors open

3.00 - 3.30 pm: Tea

Tea and reception.

3.30 - 4.20 pm: Keilidh

Dance in klezmer style to a great band.

4.20 - 4.40: tea break

Relax for a moment

4.40 - 5.30 pm: Keilidh

6.00 pm: Finish

We need to vacate the hall by 6.00 pm. Please help us by being ready and maybe by helping us tidy up.

Sprung dance floor

The venue has a sprung dance floor, which is great to dance on, but we need to take care:

We must wear soft-soled shoes and not stiletto heels.

We must mop liquids up right away.

This is a condition of hire, so please help us to comply.
